Little Bitterroot Lake

Tiny brown hexagonal crystals (identified as brown garnets by a geologist) may be found in matrix on the shores of Little Bitterroot Lake. Access is from US Hwy 2 at Marion, west of Kalispell and by paved county roads. Allow yourself an hour driving time from Kalispell.
