Agate Mountain

Agate, common opal, and some fossils may be found at the Agate Mountain site. Access is from I-15 south of Dillon via a paved secondary highway and rather primitive-at-times (rutty) gravel and dirt roads. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Allow a minimum of an hour to reach the collecting area after you leave I-15. Note: Part of the route is through fenced ranchland. If a gate is OPEN when you get to it, leave it OPEN! If a gate is CLOSED when you get to it, CLOSE IT after you have gone through it!

From time-to-time, new location cards will be added to this list, so you may want to check back often.
