Yaak River Agate and Jasper

The Yaak River is located in the upper northwestern corner of Montana. Access is via MT Hwy 508, which intersects with US Highway 2 three miles from the Idaho border. Troy is the nearest town to the east along US Hwy 2. Access is on paved surface save for the last mile or so. Very unique agate and jasper may be found in the gravel bars along the Yaak River. Allow an hour driving time from US Hwy 2 to the collecting site at a minimum.
